American Pediatric Surgery Team Returns to Gaza

This week, a 5-member team of doctors and nurses from North America returned to Gaza to provide complex surgery for sick and injured kids.  Led by long-time volunteer surgeon Dr. Angela Hanna from Seattle, the team includes anesthisologist Dr. Michelle Barnes, Canadian ICU nurse Tracy Glenn, OR nurse Christie Jucht and OR tech Jamielyn Urquidez. On Friday, the team met with local surgeons at the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis to see over two-dozen children and to schedule surgery for nearly half of them during the week.  PCRF is proud to be the only non-profit in the world consistently sending in volunteer surgery teams from all over the world to Gaza to provide hundreds of children the care they otherwise could not get locally.
