This week, Wisconsin-based surgeon Dr. Mark Asplund came to the Gaza Strip in response to an urgent appeal for vascular surgeons to treat gunshot wounds on civilians injured over the past two weeks. This is his second volunteer mission for the PCRF and comes at a time when there are hundreds of civilians with injuries that need specialized care. Gaza doesn't have a vacular surgeon able to treat these complex injuries.
