Dr. Alan Kerr Returns to Palestine to Help Save Lives

Dr. Alan Kerr is known as "the father of pediatric cardiac surgery" in Palestine, having done over 35 volunteer surgery missions to Gaza, East Jerusalem and Ramallah since the year 2001.  He helped PCRF to build the program in Makassed Hospital, which is now independent, and operated on over 800 sick children with congenital heart disease, including during terrible violence in Gaza in 2003-2005, when he volunteered for weeks on end.  He is back this week in the Palestine Medical Complex to help assist Dr. Ayman Morrar in pediatric cardiac surgery.  Dr. Kerr is also the father of pediatric cardiac surgery in New Zealand, where he built the program in Auckland.
