Egyptian Surgery Team Returns to Jordan To Treat Refugees

Today, Egyptian surgeons, Dr. Mamdouh Abu Al-Hassan and Dr. Ahmad Samra, arrived in Amman, Jordan to start a one-week maxillofacial mission at Luzmila Hospital. The two surgeons, who work at Mansoura University Children Hospital, will be operating on refugee children along with local surgeon, Ashraf Al-Bostanji. The three members of this mission will start screening around 34 patients tomorrow to identify those who need surgery. The PCRF is cooperating with Islamic Relief in Jordan to sponsor volunteer surgery teams to provide care for refugee children. This is the third mission to Jordan in 2018.

The PCRF is cooperating with Smile Train to support this type of operation for children in the Middle East and has provided thousands of kids corrective surgery over the past years.
