French Hand Surgery Medical Mission In The Gaza Strip

The French volunteer hand surgery team performed nineteen surgeries at European Gaza Hospital in the southern Gaza Strip, before moving to Shifa Medical Hospital to perform another fifteen surgeries for children suffering from problems in the bones of the hand and peripheral nerves. The team is led by a hand surgeon Prof. Christophe Oberlin who has been a long-time volunteer with the PCRF, and accompanied by a British hand surgeon, Dr. Asan Rafee from Manchester, and anesthesiologist Dr. Christophe Denantes. The PCRF is the main non-governmental organization in Palestine that brings in volunteer medical missions from all over the world to provide free medical relief to children including specialized surgeries.
