This week our Gaza social workers paid a visit to the home of seven-year-old Raghad, who recently returned home to the Khan Younis Refugee Camp after being treated in Greenville, South Carolina through PCRF’s Travel Abroad program. She had surgery for congenital abnormalities of her lower limbs that prevented her from walking at Shriners Hospital for Children. She underwent complex bilateral amputations of the affected lower limb and was later fitted with the prosthesis. She is now back at school in Gaza.
