Gazan Girl Returning Home After Four "Crazy" Surgeries
Gazan Girl Returning Home After Four

Four "crazy" surgeries and eight months later 14-year-old Raghd was discharged from the Shriners Hospital for Sick Children in Philadelphia and is on her way back home to the Gaza Strip. Raghd traveled to Philadelphia last April through the PCRF, where she underwent four major surgeries to correct a spine deformity which she suffered from almost all her life. She was under the care of Dr. Amir Samdani and was being hosted by our PCRF Philadelphia Chapter with the help of local volunteers. The PCRF is the main nonprofit in the world arranging free medical care abroad for sick and injured children like Raghd, regardless of their nationality or religion. We thank the Shriners Hospital, their staff, and all of our many volunteers who helped care for her during her long stay in the USA.
