Indian Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Team on First Mission to Palestine

This week, an Indian cardiac surgery team is operating on a number of children at the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah. Led by surgeon Dr. Ganapathy Subramanian, the team members include cardiac sciences & chief heart transplant surgeon, Dr. K R Balakrishnan, cardiac anesthesia and cardiac critical care specialists, Dr. Suresh Rao and Dr. Ram Subramanian, and pediatric cardiologist Dr. V K Swamy. The PCRF is the main NGO in the Middle East sponsoring volunteer medical teams from all over the world to provide expert care for children and training for local doctors. This is the team’s first mission in Palestine.
