During late August, 11-year-old Abdelrahman from Nuseirat Refugee Camp in the Gaza Strip arrived in Ohio to start prosthetic care in Akron, Ohio. Abdelrahman was shot on the leg in April and suffered an amputation of his left leg. Yanke Bionics is providing him the care he needs to walk again on a charitable basis. Yanke Bionics is the first company to treat an injured Palestinian child, helping a 10-year-old double amputee in 1990. Abdelrahman is being supported by volunteers in our Cleveland and Kent State chapters.
