A PCRF-led pediatric and plastic surgery mission planned for Gaza in June was relocated to Al Hanan Hospital in Amman, Jordan, after the volunteer medical team was unable to enter due to border access restrictions. Led by volunteer specialists Dr. Ibrahim Elgarya and Dr. Ahmed Abdelmohsen, the mission provided consultations and screenings for nearly 100 children and performed specialised surgeries for 41 children. Despite the challenges and changes to the original plan, the two medical volunteers remained committed to delivering specialised care and successfully completed the mission, reaching children who were in critical need of this specialized care. We thank Dr. Elgarya and Dr. Abdelmohsen for embodying the spirit of PCRF’s mission: adapting to challenges while continuing to provide essential medical care where it is most needed.
