Implementing Emergency Medical Mission #22 in Gaza

From February 11 to 24, 2026, PCRF implemented its 22 Emergency Medical Mission into Gaza, bringing together three specialized efforts in one: maxillofacial, ENT, and reconstructive and pediatric plastic surgery. Led by PCRF’s Medical Advisory Board President, Dr. Imad Tamimi, Maxillofacial and Cleft Palate Surgeon, the volunteer medical staff crossed miles from the USA, Mexico, Jordan, and Egypt to provide critical care to children under urgent and challenging circumstances. Over two weeks, they performed 119 critical surgeries changing the lives of injured and critically ill children amid the ongoing health crisis in Gaza. The mission included Dr. Raymundo Ramirez Lugo, Maxillofacial and Cleft Lip Surgeon (Mexico); Dr. Farooq Shahzad, Reconstructive and Pediatric Plastic Surgeon (New York, USA); Dr. Osama Hassan, ENT Surgeon (Egypt); Dr. Saeed Al-Dabas, Dermatologist (Jordan); and Dr. Alessandro De Camilli, Anesthesiologist (New York, USA). We extend our sincere gratitude to the volunteers and staff whose tireless efforts made this lifesaving work possible.
