PCRF carried out a life-changing medical mission in Syria, providing orthoplastic and reconstructive surgeries for patients with blast injuries and birth defects. From 21–26 September, 2025, at Homs University Hospital, 65 patients were screened, and 15 complex surgeries were performed under the guidance of Dr. Asan Rafee, Orthopaedic and Reconstruction Consultant Surgeon, with Dr. Yasser Hijazi, Plastic and Reconstruction Surgeon, and Dr. Lina Fazlanie, Anesthesia and ICU Specialist, in close cooperation with local medical teams. For many, these surgeries are a chance to regain mobility and a sense of normalcy.
