From August 11–14, a dedicated team of pediatric surgeons from Egypt came together to provide specialised surgical care to refugee children and other children who needed it most in Jordan. At Al Hanan Hospital in Amman, Dr. Adham Mustafa Al Sayed, Dr. Mohammad El Sherbiny, and Dr. Mohammad AbuShasha screened 46 children and performed 21 surgeries, helping children access the specialised care they needed. These teams have been returning to Jordan since 2011 through PCRF, working hand in hand with local medical teams to improve children’s quality of life while giving families the relief of seeing their children grow stronger and healthier. We are deeply grateful to the three volunteer doctors for leading this mission, and to all the medical professionals who continue to give their time and expertise to our children.
