PCRF’s Summer Camp in Gaza successfully concluded in August, marking its return for the first time since summer 2023. Held under the theme “We Are Here,” the camp was delivered in three phases, reaching 97 orphaned children in the first week, 71 children who had lost limbs in the second, and around 60 children who were ill, injured, or experiencing psychological trauma as a result of war and loss in the third. Throughout the three weeks, children took part in water play, creative activities, hygiene awareness, first aid education, skills-building activities, group celebrations, and other activities designed to encourage connection, confidence, and a sense of belonging. We are deeply grateful to our partners in Gaza, to the dedicated team who created these meaningful spaces for children, and to our supporters from across the world for making it a great success that left a mark on these children's live.
