Four-year-old Othman was born with a rare and complex urological condition. His planned surgery was delayed by the war, leaving him without access to the specialized care he needed.
During PCRF’s Gaza EMT Mission #31, from August 24 to September 9, 2026, pediatric surgeon Dr. Mohamed Hamed successfully performed the complex four-hour surgery at Al-Shifa Hospital, giving Othman renewed hope for a healthier childhood.
Joined by Dr. Khaled Salah, Pediatric Surgery, and Dr. Hassan Abdelmaksoud, Anesthesia, the team conducted 173 screenings, 70 surgeries, and 105 pain-management interventions at Al-Shifa and Nasser hospitals.
