This week, a six-member team of volunteer doctors from North and South America returned to the West Bank town of Nablus to provide maxillofacial surgery on needy patients. Led by PCRF Chairman of the board Dr. Khaled Abughazaleh, the team includes Mexican surgeon Dr. Rafael Ruiz, Dr. Raul Fernando Sandoval Vernimmen from Ecuador, surgeon Dr. Amro Shihabi, Chicago anesthesiologist Dr. Yaser Wafai, Dr. Mohammed Qaisi and Dr. Wu Zheng. The team have volunteered for many years with the PCRF and have provided highly-complex surgery for hundreds of patients all over Palestine.

The PCRF is cooperating with Smile Train to support the cleft lip and palate operations for children in the Middle East and have provided thousands of kids corrective surgery over the past twenty years.
