Mental Health Support for Amputees in the Northern Gaza Strip
Mental Health Support for Amputees in the Northern Gaza Strip

The mental health team has been actively engaged in providing comprehensive support to amputees throughout the Gaza Strip. Recognizing the psychological challenges these resilient individuals face, the team has conducted family visits and offered professional supervision. Through these interventions, they have aimed to enhance the psychological well-being of young individuals who have endured psychological trauma, setbacks, and family issues exacerbated by the recent escalation in Gaza. During the field visits, the team has implemented tailored individual and family interventions, prioritizing each person's unique needs. Their objective has been to address the emotional wounds and foster healing and resilience among the group. The mental health team has diligently worked with family members to ensure their psychological and social well-being, providing a supportive network, also actively encouraging participation in the upcoming annual summer camp for amputees. By doing this, they aim to empower these individuals and equip them with the necessary tools to embrace new experiences, build connections, and find solace in a nurturing environment. Through these collective efforts, the Gaza mental health team is dedicated to providing holistic care and promoting a brighter future for amputees throughout the Gaza Strip.
