This week, a total of nine Syrian refugee children, whose ages range from 5 to 17 years, underwent ENT surgery at Siblin Governmental Hospital in Lebanon. The children, who were discharged on the same day of their surgery, were operated on by Dr. Wael Abu Akel. The children were sponsored by the PCRF’s Syrian Children’s Relief Project. Hundreds of Syrian refugee children each year get surgery through the PCRF in both Lebanon and Jordan. The PCRF is the main nonprofit arranging surgery for these children, who otherwise would not get the care they need.
