This week, Miar from North Gaza is in San Francisco being fitted for a new lower limb prosthetic. Miar was in a severe situation that no seven year old should have to endure where her right leg was crushed resulting in a lower limb amputation. Last month, Miar and her mother traveled to San Francisco to get a lower limb prosthesis from LIM Innovations. She will complete her physical therapy during her stay in the Bay area to regain independence in her right leg. PCRF is grateful for the San Francisco chapter for their support.
