This week, Dr. Hisham Ammous, the head of plastic surgery at Makassed Hospital in East Jerusalem, returned to Lebanon on a volunteer mission through the PCRF to provide reconstructive surgery on burned and injured refugee children. Dr. Ammous is working at the Palestine Red Crescent Hospital of Safad in the Baddawi refugee camp in Tripoli, and has led dozens of volunteer missions for the PCRF over the past many years, treated dozens of injured children.
