As part of its ongoing emergency response in Gaza, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), in partnership with the AWDA Health & Community Association, is supporting the operation of two field medical points in northern Gaza. These medical units are providing vital care to nearly 200 patients every day, highlighting the immense demand for healthcare amid war and displacement.
PCRF’s support includes the provision of medical staff, essential medications, and critical supplies to ensure continuity of care despite limited resources and ongoing insecurity. In addition, PCRF’s medical teams are working inside Al-Awda Hospital, where pediatricians, emergency doctors, dentists, and pharmacists are treating urgent cases and providing essential services to injured and sick patients.
Al-Awda Hospital, one of the most important hospitals in northern Gaza, continues to play a critical role in receiving hundreds of war-injured civilians. Since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, the hospital has faced a full siege and temporary closure during the military incursion into northern Gaza, making its continued operation even more vital for the local population.
This effort underscores PCRF’s unwavering commitment to supporting medical efforts on the ground and ensuring that lifesaving care reaches those who need it most.
