With basic hygiene products nearly vanished from Gaza’s markets and prices soaring beyond the reach of most families, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) mobilized to source and distribute urgent hygiene kits in northern Gaza. Despite the near-total depletion of supplies and logistical barriers, PCRF’s field team was able to secure essential items from what remained in the local market and deliver them to displaced families in overcrowded shelters.
Thousands of families in the north are living without access to soap, disinfectants, toothbrushes, or feminine hygiene products—putting them at high risk of illness and infection. These kits represent more than supplies; they are critical tools for health and dignity in the face of unimaginable hardship.
This humanitarian effort is part of PCRF’s emergency response to the ongoing war on Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, and continues to devastate infrastructure and isolate communities from vital aid. The distribution underscores PCRF’s continued commitment to supporting Gaza’s most vulnerable families, especially those living in tents and makeshift shelters with limited sanitation access.
