Meet Mohannad!
A brave 14-year-old from Gaza arrived safely in South Africa this week to begin his treatment journey.
He was severely injured in a market bombing while simply buying bread. Both of his legs were critically affected. One was narrowly saved; the other was tragically amputated.
Through the PCRF Treatment Abroad Program, and in close collaboration with MEAL SA, Mohannad was evacuated from Egypt alongside his mother. He is now receiving medical care and preparing for prosthetic fitting and rehabilitation.
While his family remains in Gaza, enduring the hardship of war and blockade, we are committed to standing by Mohannad’s side every step of the way.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
This is one story of hope, but countless ill and critically injured children are still waiting.
