PCRF Provides Urgent Surgeries for Seven Refugee Children in Lebanon

As part of the One-Time Surgery Sponsorship Program, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) supported seven refugee children living in Lebanon to receive urgent surgical care.

Ahmad, 2 months old from Ein el-Hilweh Camp, underwent urgent hernia surgery at Kassab Hospital. Sam, 8 months old, received life-saving heart surgery at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Omar, 4 years old from Syria, had open-heart surgery at Hammoud Hospital. Sulaiman, 5 years old from Palestine, underwent surgery for a hip condition at AUBMC. Jamal, 10 years old from Syria, had adenoid removal surgery at Raee Hospital. Aya, 13 years old from Lebanon, received surgery to support her kidney treatment at Hammoud Hospital. Mohammad, 17 years old from Syria, underwent open-heart surgery at Hammoud Hospital.

Despite the challenges of displacement, PCRF remains committed to ensuring that refugee children from Palestine, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and Lebanon can access life-saving medical care and a chance for a healthier future.
