Today, our humanitarian team in north Gaza prepared 200 infection control coupons for high-risk persons to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus by providing basic necessities they may lack. They will be distributed in phases during this week to avoid crowding and ensure safe social distancing. PCRF responded quickly to the urgent appeals of the most at-risk persons to hopefully help avoid a large-scale outbreak in Gaza, where two million people live in one of the poorest abd most densely packed ares of the world, as well as being cut off from the world for many years.
