On October 27th, the PCRF sponsored a Pediatric limb deficiency symposium held in Ramallah, which included 80 orthopedic surgeons, orthotic specialists and physical therapists from all over the West Bank. The aim of the conference aim is to improve understanding of the topic in order to improve the care of children with orthopedic defects. The conference included several speakers, including the volunteers sent to Palestine by the PCRF, Dr. Anna Cuomo, and Matt Morrison. The conference opened a dialogue for orthopedic surgeons, orthotics and physical therapist for better communication to ensure better care of patients. The PCRF is committed not only to patient care but also training of local caregivers.
