This week, the PCRF's American Pediatric Orthopedic team began their volunteer mission at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, to provide medical examinations and surgeries for children with congenital problems and to follow up the amputees. The team is led by pediatric orthopedic surgeon Dr. Anna Vergun, the surgeons Dr. Benjamin Miller and Dr. Corey Gill, and prosthetics expert Ramona Okumura. The PCRF is the main NGO in Palestine that attracts pediatric surgical missions worldwide to provide life-changing surgeries for children.
