Swiss Maxillofacial team begins medical mission in Gaza

PCRF welcomes back The Swiss Maxillofacial team. The team of doctors began performing life-changing surgeries for children with deformities during their volunteer mission with PCRF. The surgeries take place in Nasser Hospital, in the southern Gaza Strip. This team is led by a long-time volunteer surgeon, Dr. Johannes Kuttenberger, together with the maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Andrea Della Chiesa, and operating room nurse, Kathrin Schulze. They examined fifty-one children suffering from cleft lip and cleft palate on the first day of their mission. Twelve surgeries are scheduled to be completed by the beginning of next week. PCRF is thankful to our volunteer medical teams who work to change the lives of children, giving them the medical care they need and deserve.
