Tanks of Safe Drinking Water for Gaza Families

This week, the PCRF in partnership with the People's Community Center (Al' Ummah), started the second phase of its urgent relief project to provide tanks and safe drinking water for 797 new families from the Gaza Strip. The PCRF team will work to complete this project by the end of the year, in addition, this project will ensure that the tanks are filled for the beneficiaries for twelve months. This month, fifty families from the central Gaza Strip, fifty from the southern Gaza Strip, and fifty from the north and Gaza City benefited from the project, which will guarantee them and their children the availability of safe drinking water for one year and using the tanks for other years.
According to a study from the Palestinian Research Center in 2019, the percentage of unsafe drinking water in Gaza reached 97%, and international bodies warned against the exposure of the coastal aquifer to irreparable damage.
