Dr. Hamzah Khalaf, an ophthalmologist from Texas, has returned to Palestine for a week-long mission: conducting needs assessments for the ophthalmology departments throughout the West Bank. He visited the PRCS in Ramallah and the Women's Union Hospital in Nablus. During his visit, he closely examined the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) in both facilities to evaluate their current situation and identify their specific needs. Dr. Khalaf also assessed the departments at Palestine Medical Complex, HClinic, and Istishari NICUs. His expertise and dedication will play a pivotal role in identifying areas for improvement and formulating strategies to enhance the quality of ophthalmological care in the region. Dr. Khalaf is a part of the ophthalmology committee on our Medical Advisory Board and gives his time to lead medical missions to Palestine for PCRF.
