This marks the third anniversary of the official opening of Dr. Musa and Suhaila Nasir Pediatric Cancer Department. This is the first and only center of excellence for Gaza’s two million people and provides free care for oncology and hematology patients. Before we opened this department, sick children had to travel outside the Gaza Strip, away from their families, to get care. Thanks to hundreds of generous donors all over the world, this grassroots initiative has treated hundreds of children in need. Our modern department, named after two of our founding members, includes child-life programs, mental health care, training for local staff, support in providing medication, and other humanitarian services. On this historic day, we thank our donors around the world who made this department possible.
