Twins Return to Los Angeles for Free Care

This week eight-year old twins Lamis and Rimas from Rafah in south Gaza returned to the Shriners Hospital in Los Angeles with their mother to continue their treatment after more than five years.The twins completed their first appointment and will start the process of rebuilding their legs at Shriners Hospital and be fitted with their new prosthetics. Both girls were born with lower limb deformities that were previously surgically amputated. They are staying at The Ronald McDonald House during their stay in the USA. In 2014, their father was killed in an airstrike near their home when he had returned to get food and clothing during the bombing of Gaza.They are supported by volunteers in the Southern California PCRF chapter.
