PCRF welcomed the U.K. Hand and Orthoplastic medical team back to Lebanon. Their mission takes place at Haifa Hospital, located in the Borj El Barajneh Refugee Camp in southern Beirut. Leading the team are Dr. Asan Rafee, Dr. Yasser Hijazi, and Nurse Amy MacGowan. So far, they have screened 46 cases and started performing surgeries. Dr. Rafee is part of our hand surgery committee on our Medical Advisory Board. He volunteers his surgical skills on missions with PCRF in the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and Lebanon’s refugee camps.
