Dr. Wajid Khan is conducting ICU needs assessments at hospital departments throughout the Gaza Strip. During his visit to European Gaza Hospital, the dedicated staff drew attention to pressing obstacles, such as understaffing, inadequate equipment, and insufficient training. They emphasized the immediate requirement for a CT scanner at EGH, as the absence of on-site imaging facilities has led to devastating outcomes for patients. Two ICU patients lost their lives during transportation to nearby Nasser Hospital for imaging. Our commitment to conducting needs assessments demonstrates our proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement within the medical facilities, optimizing patient care, and ensuring that the hospitals are equipped with the necessary resources to handle emergencies effectively. Dr. Khan is part of our intensive care committee on our Medical Advisory Board.
