A Ramadan Message of Gratitude
from the PCRF Chairperson

Dear PCRF staff, volunteers, donors and supporters,

As we begin the holy month of Ramadan, my heart is full of warmth and gratitude for my PCRF global family. Ramadan is a time of reflection, compassion, and unity- a sacred period that encourages us to draw closer to our faith and to one another. It is a month where we embrace the values of kindness, generosity, and self discipline, all while nurturing our spirits and deepening our connections with our loved ones.

During this blessed time, many of us fast from dawn until sunset, learning to appreciate the simple joys that life offers and cultivating empathy for those who are less fortunate. Each day becomes an opportunity for self improvement, spiritual growth, and an invitation to share in the beauty of community and togetherness.

Let us extend our warmest wishes to one another as we embark on this profound journey together. May this Ramadan bring you tranquility and fulfillment, peace, and purpose.

As you gather around the Iftar table with family and friends, let us not forget those who are less fortunate around the world… especially our families and children in Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, and Yemen, who continue to suffer from the effects of war and violence in the region. We must also not forget the millions who have been displaced and the thousands injured, maimed, malnourished, and orphaned in Gaza over the last 16 months of unprecedented calamity and horror.

Remember, this month is not just about refraining from food and drink; It is about nourishing our souls and strengthening the bonds that tie us. Let’s reach out to our neighbors, to those in need and to one another, sharing not just our meals but our kindness.

As we take part in the sacred observance, may we all be blessed with patience, understanding, and a heart that is open to helping the less fortunate in this world. Let us pray the spirit of Ramadan fills our lives with hope and guides us towards acts of goodwill that resonate far beyond this holy month and long after the crescent moon has faded.

Ramadan Mubarak!

With gratitude,

Vivian Khalaf, Chairwoman of the Board-PCRF
