PCRF STATEMENT

Recently, PCRF was wrongly attacked and defamed by Elon Musk in a post on his X account. This was part of a larger attack on several well reputed humanitarian organization.

In light of these attacks, we feel it necessary to clarify that the Palestine Children Relief Fund (PCRF) is a nonpolitical non-religious community-based humanitarian organization established in 1992 to provide children in the Middle East with access to medical care that is not available to them where they live. 

For over three decades we have sent hundreds of foreign medical teams to the Middle East to treat children and perform thousands of life-saving surgeries. Additionally, PCRF has evacuated hundreds of children from the Middle East for treatment abroad where treatment in their home countries is unavailable.  We also provide medical and humanitarian aid and relief to children in need.

PCRF adheres to a strict policy of financial independence and does not accept funding from any government, including the U.S. government. Our work has always been driven by the generosity of private donors and non-governmental sources to support the integrity and neutrality of our mission

Moreover, PCRF has always exercised heightened due diligence in the selection of staff, vendors and partners in all the activities and jurisdictions where the organization operates.  As a registered non-profit in the United States, we abide by all US laws and regulations.

PCRF has an unblemished record of transparency and accountability, consistently earning high ratings from respected charity watchdog organizations like Charity Navigator. 

PCRF has also been endorsed and supported by several notable public figures, including the late President Jimmy Carter, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Bishop Desmond Tutu, to name a few.

Mr. Musk’s actions are recklessly endangering the safety of our mission, our staff and volunteers as well as the reputation of an organization dedicated to saving lives and providing critical medical care to children in need.  

Confident of what we have done in the past and what we are currently doing, we stand resolute in continuing our mission and fulfilling our humanitarian duties. We ask you to join and stand with us for humanity.
