Gaza Girl Finishes Surgery, Starts to Learn to Walk

This week, 7-year-old Raghad from Khan Younis Refugee Camp in Gaza completed the double amputation surgery that she had on both of her legs at the Shriners Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, and began to be fitted with the prosthesis, which will enable her to walk for the first time in her life. Raghad was sent with her mother by the PCRF to the USA for treatment that was not available to her in Gaza. We are grateful to the doctors and nurses taking care of this beautiful child, as well as the volunteers in the community who are helping her while she is there for treatment.
