Gazan Girl Travels to UAE for Prosthesis

This week, 12-year-old Mai from Gaza was sent by the PCRF with her mother to Dubai for orthopedic surgery and a new prosthesis. Mai was previously treated in Gaza to try to repair her complex congenital pseudoarthrosis locally with no progress and was seen in Gaza by Dr. Marc Sinclair from Little Wing Foundation, a partner NGO who does missions with the PCRF in Palestine. Dr. Sinclair and his team decided to treat Mai in Dubai through PCRF sponsorship, which will take place at Medcare Orthopaedics and Spine Hospital. After her surgery Mai will be fitted for a prosthesis enabling her to walk. We are ever grateful to the individuals who support these children while abroad and we wish luck to Mai as she prepares for surgery later this week.
