3-year-old Tala Gets Treatment in Gaza

3-year-old Tala is one of the youngest amputees in our program for Gaza children.  She was born with congenital anomalies in lower limp and had a left below-knee amputation, club foot, and syndactyly in her fingers and toes.  She was to travel abroad for surgery and a new leg, but due to the Covid-19 virus, she remains in Gaza. PCRF was able to sponsor her treatment at Hamad Hospital in Gaza.   Thanks to our volunteer in Seattle, Ramona Okamura, who has been to Gaza through the PCRF in the past and continues to support the local staff there in building and fitting amputees like Tala, she is able to walk and go home with her family.
