6-Year-Old Haneen From Gaza Joins The Amputee Project

6-year-old Haneen from North Gaza was a conjoined Siamese twin at birth. Her sister Farah passed away during the separation process at three months old. Haneen suffers from various health issues, including the loss of her right leg and problems with her kidneys and urinary tract. Recently, Haneen received a prosthetic limb from Saudi Arabia and returned home to Gaza with it. Despite her challenges, Haneen has a positive outlook on life. She loves playing with other children, attending kindergarten, singing, and helping her mother with housework. She always greets people with a smile and brings positive energy to her family and those around her. Haneen dreams of becoming a doctor in the future and helping children. Recently, she joined the PCRF Amputee Program and is excited to connect with her friends this summer at Al Qudra Camp for Amputees.

PCRF is the only NGO running a program to help all children with amputations in the Gaza Strip through the amputee project and is the leading nonprofit organization in the world, supporting humanitarian projects and programs on the ground in Palestine. For over 30 years, we have provided tens of thousands of children in the Middle East humanitarian aid through direct support based on their needs.
