New York-based Columbia University pediatric radiologist Diana Marin, accompanied by the Dayton, Ohio-based anesthesiologist Dr. Mark Reed, visited hospitals in the Gaza Strip to help assess their needs to better guide our future support in developing programs and improving patient care. The team went to several local MOH hospitals, including Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza. They are both members of our medical advisory board and will be helping us to ensure that our future support meets the needs of doctors and hospitals in Gaza. The Palestine Children's Relief Fund works to develop the infrastructure of public hospitals in Palestine by establishing new departments, restoring dilapidated ones, and supplying medical equipment and supplies to hospitals, in addition to sending voluntary medical missions to train local staff. Thanks to its donors worldwide, it will launch a project to restore and equip an operating room in Al-Aqsa Hospital this year.
