PCRF welcomed back an American pediatric surgery team led by Dr. Angela Hanna to the West Bank and Gaza Strip to provide complex surgery and training for local doctors. The team worked week one at the Palestine Medical Complex in the West Bank city of Ramallah, after which they moved to the European Gaza Hospital in the Gaza Strip. The pediatric surgery team also surprised the children in the EGH pediatric department with gifts, helping bring them joy and smiles. The team completed thirteen successful surgeries on this mission. Dr. Hanna has led several volunteer surgery teams to Gaza for PCRF and is a member of the Pediatric Surgery Committee on our Medical Advisory Board.
