This week, Brazilian orthopedic oncological surgeon Dr. Antonio Marcelo Souza began his medical mission at the European Gaza Hospital in the southern Gaza Strip. He is performing surgeries for patients with difficult orthopedic problems, in addition to training local surgeons in new surgical methods that raise the level of quality and care provided to the patients at the department. Dr. Souza is part of the orthopedic oncology committee on our medical advisory board and has been on past volunteer missions to Palestine with PCRF.
