This week, PCRF welcomed back The Italian Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery team to Gaza to begin the ten-day hospital assessment, training, and medical missions at several different hospital departments throughout the Gaza Strip. Surgeon Dr. Eloisa Franchi, surgeon Dr. Daniele Dondossola, and emergency medicine physician Dr. Stefano Spinelli are conducting hospital department assessments at Shifa, Nasser, and European Gaza Hospital to launch a future program on hepatobiliary surgery while also providing training to local physicians and performing life-saving surgeries. Dr. Franchi, Dr. Dondossola, and Dr. Spinelli are all part of the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Committee on our Medical Advisory Board and have volunteered on several past missions to Palestine with PCRF.
