This week, two bio-medical engineers are in Lebanon to repair medical equipment in the Palestine Red Crescent Hospitals (PRCS) and clinics all over Lebanon. During our volunteer medical missions to Lebanon, we have discovered many important pieces of medical equipment that could be used to help treat patients through repairs. Unfortunately, there is not an adequate system in place for addressing the many machines in need of fixing. Instead of buying new equipment, the PCRF sent Hector Felipe Mendez Verastegui and Antonio Alvarez, biomedical engineers working at the University Hospital in Coro-Falcón, Venezuela. Their mission will save thousands of dollars as well as lives for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
