Italian Cardiac Team Return to Palestine

This week a six-member volunteer pediatric cardiac surgery team from Genoa, Italy are in the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah providing life-saving open-heart surgery for sick children with congenital heart disease. Led by surgeon Dr. Francesco Santoro, who is in his fifth mission with PCRF, and in cooperation with American non-profit Gift of Life, the team include cardiac surgeon Dr. Elena Ribera,  cardiologist Dr. Vittoria De Lucia, anesthesiologist  Dr. Riccardo Moschetti, percussionist Michele Macchia, and ICU nurse Giada Boggi. They’re part of PCRF’s ongoing effort to build specialized surgery services for children with heart disease in Palestine.
