Changing Lives, One Home Visit at a Time!

During a recent home visit by our mental health team in Gaza, we met the brave 7-year-old Zaina with her loving family. Zaina, who was born with an incomplete right hand, has been facing challenges in her social and emotional development since the transition from kindergarten to school. Zaina's first year of school has been accompanied by a severe fear of strangers and difficulty socializing. These changes have led her to isolate herself and refuse to interact with anyone outside her immediate family. Understandably, this situation has placed a significant emotional burden on both Zaina and her dedicated mother. At PCRF, we believe in empowering families to navigate and overcome these obstacles. That's why our team established a tailored treatment plan with Zaina's mother to aid her in adapting and coping with her unique circumstances. By providing specialized support, we aim to alleviate Zaina's anxieties and help her experience a fulfilling and inclusive educational journey. The treatment plan focuses on equipping Zaina with the necessary tools and techniques to build resilience, foster self-confidence, and enhance her social interactions. Our dedicated team of professionals works closely with Zaina's mother, providing guidance, counseling, and resources to address her concerns and ensure her daughter's well-being. We commend Zaina's mother for her unwavering commitment and strength in providing the best possible care for her daughter. Together, we are dedicated to empowering Zaina and many other traumatized children in Gaza to navigate her world with confidence and embrace her uniqueness. Stay tuned for updates on our progress as we continue our journey towards transforming lives and creating brighter futures.
