In February 2026, PCRF launched a new voluntary medical mission in collaboration with a Swiss plastic and hand surgery team at Rafidia Hospital. The team focused on both patient care and capacity building for local medical staff through expertise and knowledge sharing. Led by Dr. Volker Wedler, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, the team included Dr. Robin van den Wildenberg, Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Elizabeth Zenev, Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Michael Mink, Anesthesiologist, Dani Thüring, Anesthesia Nurse, and Sebastian Gilliand, Registered Operating Room Technician. During their visit, 51 cases were screened, and 23 patients received life-changing interventions that will significantly improve their well-being and quality of life.
