From 4 to 18 August 2026, PCRF deployed its 30th Emergency Medical Mission to Gaza, bringing specialized expertise in orthopedic and maxillofacial surgery. Led by PCRF volunteers Dr. Mohammad Awwad, Orthopedic Surgeon from Jordan, and Dr. Carlos Castellanos, Maxillofacial Surgeon from Mexico, the team provided care at Al-Shifa Hospital. During the mission, the doctors screened 80 patients and performed 39 surgeries, providing specialized care to patients facing complex medical conditions amid Gaza’s severely strained healthcare system. We are deeply grateful to all our volunteer medical staff whose relentless efforts bring much-needed care and treatment to children and patients, even in the most challenging environments.
