PCRF Expands Urgent Relief Across Gaza and the West Bank in September

Throughout September 2026, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) continued its Regional Urgent Relief efforts, responding to critical needs across Gaza and the West Bank. From food and clean water to nutrition, mobility, medical care, education, and mental health support, PCRF teams worked to ensure essential assistance reached children, families, and patients facing difficult humanitarian conditions.

Responding to Urgent Needs Across Gaza

Food security remained a major focus throughout the month. PCRF provided 7,300 families with food support, including 7,000 food parcels for displaced families and 300 food vouchers for amputees.

To address malnutrition among children, PCRF distributed 3,000 specialized nutrition parcels to 1,500 children with malnutrition. Each child received support twice during the month as part of continued efforts to support their nutritional recovery.

Access to safe water also remained essential. More than 3 million liters of safe drinking water were delivered to communities across Gaza during September.

As children continued learning amid challenging conditions, PCRF distributed 3,000 school bags and stationery sets, helping provide students with essential educational supplies.

PCRF also provided 170 wheelchairs to people with mobility needs, while its Mental Health and Psychosocial Support activities continued reaching hundreds of vulnerable children, including orphaned children, children who lost parents, and children with amputations.

Expanding the Response Across the West Bank

In the West Bank, PCRF distributed 960 food parcels, including 900 parcels to families caring for orphans across 12 districts.

Essential nutrition and hygiene assistance also reached 225 children, who received infant formula and diapers.

As needs related to injuries and emergencies increased in refugee camps and surrounding communities, PCRF strengthened mobility support by providing 15 wheelchairs and 35 pairs of crutches.

PCRF also delivered lifesaving cancer medication to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, providing 20 patients of different ages with 45 days of essential treatment.

More Than 1.3 Million People Reached

These September efforts build on PCRF’s broader Regional Urgent Relief response. In the first half of 2026 alone, PCRF’s Regional Urgent Relief efforts reached 1,308,599 people, providing essential support to communities facing urgent humanitarian and medical needs.

Through continued support from donors and partners around the world, PCRF remains committed to responding where needs are greatest and ensuring critical assistance reaches children and families across the region.
